With 10.3 having been hacked and in the end wiped off the face of the net, I decided to take things in somewhat of a different direction from how 10.3 and prior iterations of the website have gone. As always I’ve tried to continually upgrade my server with each new version. Because the departure form what I have been doing is so vast I’ve decided to skip straight to version 11.0.
This version will have far more animated qualities and will be constructed primarily of modules integrated into WordPress Pages and Posts. Many of these modules will be authored through the use of a new authoring program called Slider Revolution. I have taught myself the basics of the program but as time goes by and my knowledge of it increases, I will undoubtedly be making changes. Mostly visual changes to streamline the site and make it more interactively pleasing. This will most prompt me to advance the version of the site, but the site will change and evolve none-the-less.
Right now I have all of the five primary area templates done, with only a few minor tweeks here and there to accomplish. The next step is to complete all the secondary pages within each primary area.
It’s taken me nearly six weeks to learn the new authoring tool and finish the primary areas, so I figure another few weeks to complete the secondary pages. After that I will go into full content creation mode for both the server and my social media accounts.
I will however be posting content to the site along with building the secondary pages. Tentatively I’m hoping to be back to where I was at with 10.3 by my birthday, 26 April, 2024.
